{"id":10629,"date":"2018-03-05T13:35:22","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T18:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/scholarships-available-for-2018-19-including-faculty-staff-scholarship-for-dependents\/"},"modified":"2018-03-05T13:35:22","modified_gmt":"2018-03-05T18:35:22","slug":"scholarships-available-for-2018-19-including-faculty-staff-scholarship-for-dependents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/scholarships-available-for-2018-19-including-faculty-staff-scholarship-for-dependents\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarships available for 2018-19 including Faculty Staff Scholarship for Dependents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation Scholarship Committee would like to remind all faculty and staff\u00a0that the Faculty Staff Scholarship for Dependents of Hudson Valley Community College Employees is available to dependents who meet the following eligibility requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a full-time matriculated student in Fall 2018<\/li>\n<li>Must have\u00a0a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher (or high school equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Must meet the guidelines of dependent status as stated in the federal financial aid guidelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before applying, please keep in mind the following:<\/p>\n<p>Many scholarships require submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please be sure your FAFSA is on file before applying for scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>The application process requires one, 250-word essay describing your educational and vocational objectives. This essay is used for all scholarships for which you\u00a0are eligible\u00a0\u2013 there is no need to write separate essays for each scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>All scholarship applications must be submitted online at:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/hvcc.academicworks.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/hvcc.academicworks.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The application <strong>deadline is Friday, March 16, 2018<\/strong>.
