{"id":10640,"date":"2018-03-08T13:10:21","date_gmt":"2018-03-08T18:10:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/nominate-a-colleague-for-the-presidents-award-for-excellence-in-college-service-4\/"},"modified":"2018-03-08T13:10:21","modified_gmt":"2018-03-08T18:10:21","slug":"nominate-a-colleague-for-the-presidents-award-for-excellence-in-college-service-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/nominate-a-colleague-for-the-presidents-award-for-excellence-in-college-service-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominate a colleague for the President\u2019s Award for Excellence in College Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Given in recognition of consistently superior service to the college, the <strong>President\u2019s Award for Excellence in College Service<\/strong> honors individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary performance in the fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities of their positions, and have provided extensive service to the college, above and beyond normal expectations, thereby serving as role models for the institution in its pursuit of excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Nominees for this award must be full- or part-time current employees of Hudson Valley Community College, the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center or the Faculty-Student Association of Hudson Valley Community College, Inc., with at least five years of continuous service to the college.<\/p>\n<p>Please note: priority will be given to first-time nominees. For a list of previous recipients, please visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/about\/presidentaward.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/about\/presidentaward.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nominations must include:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 Letter of nomination (including contact information for the nominator)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 A summary statement of no more than four pages addressing the nominee\u2019s job performance and service to the college and how this goes above and beyond normal expectations for college employees<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 At least four confidential letters of support for the nomination<\/p>\n<p>The nomination deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018.<br \/>\nNominations should be sent to Suzanne Kalkbrenner, GUN 164.<\/p>\n<p>Submitted nominations will be reviewed by a subcommittee of the Faculty\/Staff Honors Committee, which will make recommendations to the President for his approval. Award recipients will be notified by April 14. The awards will be presented at the Faculty\/Staff Honors Convocation on Thursday, May 3 at 4:30 p.m. in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre.
