It is with great sadness we inform the campus community of the passing of student-athlete Justus Simon this past weekend. Simon had been battling a rare type of cancer for the past several months.<\/p>\n

Simon was in his first semester of his freshman season at Hudson Valley Community College, where he was a member of the men’s basketball team, playing in 11 games and averaging 5.9 points per game. He also made the President’s List in his first semester as a business administration major.<\/p>\n

Please keep the Simon family in your thoughts during this difficult time.<\/p>\n
