{"id":10936,"date":"2018-05-02T12:09:21","date_gmt":"2018-05-02T16:09:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/transformation-through-collaboration-introduces-60-middle-school-and-high-school-students-to-hudson-valley\/"},"modified":"2018-05-02T12:09:21","modified_gmt":"2018-05-02T16:09:21","slug":"transformation-through-collaboration-introduces-60-middle-school-and-high-school-students-to-hudson-valley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/transformation-through-collaboration-introduces-60-middle-school-and-high-school-students-to-hudson-valley\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Transformation Through Collaboration&#8221; introduces 60 middle school and high school students to Hudson Valley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over 60 middle school and high school students, and their parents,\u00a0visited the Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday, April 28 to hear information about college preparedness,\u00a0resume building\u00a0through extra-curricular activities, cultural diversity,\u00a0and\u00a0how\u00a0technology\u00a0changes\u00a0the way we work, live and learn during the second annual <em><strong>Transformation Through Collaboration: Closing The Gap Over the Bridge To Success<\/strong><\/em> <strong><em>at Hudson Valley Community College<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The program is\u00a0part of an ongoing effort to spread the word about the abundant academic programs and educational opportunities at Hudson Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Seven\u00a0Hudson Valley students\u00a0shared their experiences, and offered encouragement and inspiration to\u00a0the students during\u00a0the lunch hour. The students were given a tour of the engineering technologies department before departing.<\/p>\n<p>Louis Coplin, director of EOP and Student Life, said the annual program\u00a0is another great opportunity to share the wealth of offerings at Hudson Valley while\u00a0strengthening partnerships with various community\u00a0and educational organizations.
