Celebrate our graduating class and\u00a0view projects
\nthat\u00a0cover a variety of topics including renewable energy,
\nsmart growth, nanotechnology and more.<\/p>\n
Wednesday, June\u00a06, 2018<\/strong> Graduation speakers include:<\/p>\n The Honorable Carrie\u00a0Woerner,\u00a0member of the New York State Assembly, District 113<\/p>\n Amy Cox,\u00a0associate in higher education opportunity, NYS P-TECH Program, NYS Education Department Office of Post-secondary Access, Support, and Success<\/p>\n Jennifer Pickering, director of Learning & Development, GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8<\/p>\n The Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School (Clean Tech ECHS) was developed by the Ballston Spa Central School District in partnership with Hudson Valley Community College and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The program has grown regionally from originally serving 25 students from\u00a0two school districts in 2011, to now serving almost 300 students from\u00a019 school districts in 10 counties.\u00a0Juniors and seniors in the program earn up to 24 college credits from Hudson Valley in this ECHS model that was established in 2011.\u00a0In 2013, the program was designated by Governor Cuomo as a New York State P-TECH school, providing additional support as the program continues to grow and serve more students from a regional perspective.\u00a0Students in the program have the option to explore one of four career pathways including Clean Energy; Computer Science & Information Systems; Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Innovation; and Nanotechnology\/Mechatronics.<\/p>\n
