Formerly an Associate Dean, Karen is charged with significantly expanding and improving student retention efforts as well as academic support services to increase persistence and completion.<\/p>\n<p>Karen will continue to oversee the library and related services, learning centers, Collegiate Academic Support Program and Center for Academic Engagement while collaborating with academic deans, department chairs, and enrollment management and student services administrators to plan and implement strategies to boost student success.<\/p>\n<p>Also at the Board meeting, Dr. Michael Green was commended for his service to the college, following his recent retirement announcement. Plans to recognize him and reorganize areas he oversees will be shared in early November.
