12 Days of Giving, the campus-wide initiative to benefit Joseph’s House and Shelter in Troy, continues through Thursday, Dec. 13!<\/strong><\/p>\n Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n Just a reminder of our 12-day effort to assist the guest at Joseph\u2019s House and Shelter in downtown Troy this holiday season!<\/p>\n The plan is to collect much-needed personal care items and NEW clothing \u2013 especially cold-weather gear \u2013 for the shelter guests, both men and women. Our goal is to collect 1,200 items. That’s 100 items a day for 12 days! I am encouraging all employees to work as a team to make this goal a reality, although individual donations also are welcome!<\/p>\n Joseph\u2019s House is a not for profit organization that services Troy, as well as the Capital Region. They have three facilities located throughout Troy. Their vision is to develop a community where everyone has safe and affordable housing, and their mission is to provide services to end homelessness. The requests for help from the homeless have been increasing steadily by 10% every year!
