Men\u2019s Basketball:\u00a0<\/strong>The Vikings men\u2019s basketball team suffered their first loss of the season over the weekend as they were defeated 75-63 on the road at Finger Lakes. The men finished the week with a 2-1 record as they defeated Orange (97-83) and Corning (84-74) to start the season with a 9-1 record.<\/p>\n Women\u2019s Basketball<\/strong>: Hudson Valley’s women’s basketball team also finished the week with a 2-1 record. The women\u2019s team defeated Orange (89-77) and Corning (74-52) and fell on the road at Finger Lakes (86-81). The women are currently 6-2 and are off to its best start in several seasons.<\/p>\n Last week, Taylor Engster was named the NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week. Engster had her entire skill set on display in the Vikings 80-34 victory over Ulster last Tuesday evening.
