Please take a look at the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Givng-Tally_2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tally sheet<\/a>. It looks great, but also shows what work remains to reach our goal of 1,200 items by Thursday, Dec. 13!<\/p>\n<p>The plan is to collect much-needed personal care items and new clothing \u2013 especially cold-weather gear \u2013 for the Joseph&#8217;s House &amp; Shelter guests, both men and women. I am encouraging all employees to work as a team to make this goal a reality, although individual donations also are welcome!<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how you and\/or your department\/office mates can help meet our goal:<\/p>\n<p><em>Collect donations of these items<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>Clothing \u2013 priority, winter-season items are shown in bold<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>warm, heavy socks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>hats\/mittens\/scarves\/heavy (ski) gloves<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>sweat pants and sweat shirts<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>long johns<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>long-sleeved shirts<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>men\u2019s boxers\/women\u2019s underwear<\/li>\n<li>sports bras of all sizes<\/li>\n<li>slippers for both men and women<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>General and Personal Care \u2013 full-size (not samples) are requested<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>shampoo and conditioner, or combo like Pert<\/li>\n<li>razors and shaving cream<\/li>\n<li>deodorant for men and women<\/li>\n<li>body wash<\/li>\n<li>lip balm<\/li>\n<li>nail clippers<\/li>\n<li>wash cloths<\/li>\n<li>hand warmers<\/li>\n<li>liquid laundry detergent<\/li>\n<li>fabric softener sheets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Monetary gifts will also be accepted.
