The Lansingburgh Historical Society is once again\u00a0 host to well-known speaker and historian Michael Barrett on Thursday, April 11 at the Van Schaick Country Club, 201 Continental Ave. in Cohoes.<\/p>\n
Michael will talk about Troy and its contributions to the war effort during the Civil War. Michael’s talk is at 7 p.m. A $10\/person donation at the door supports the Lansingburgh Historical Society’s mission to preserve and promote. Reservations for a selected-menu dinner option at 5:30 p.m. can be made by calling 518-237-0145.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, April 13, the LHS will host an open house and “meet the artist” event with local journalist, writer and news anchor John Grey from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the historic Melville House, Two 114th St. in Lansingburgh. John will sell and sign his books from noon to 1 p.m. Requested donation is $5\/person.<\/p>\n
