{"id":12572,"date":"2019-04-30T12:16:54","date_gmt":"2019-04-30T16:16:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/update-on-new-library-system\/"},"modified":"2019-04-30T12:16:54","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T16:16:54","slug":"update-on-new-library-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/update-on-new-library-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Update on new library system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/new-library-system-planned-for-summer-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">previously announced<\/a>, the Dwight Marvin Library will update its system used for circulation, cataloging and other core functions beginning in early summer. As part of the planning and preparation, please note the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No new print books or DVDs will be added to the system after May 3 until the new system is available in early July.<\/li>\n<li>Any new reserve textbooks or items needed on reserve for summer classes must be submitted by Friday, May 3.\u00a0 Note that nearly all items designated to be used as summer textbooks are already processed and ready for summer classes.\u00a0 Contact library staff <a href=\"mailto:d.craver@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Donna Craver<\/a> with questions.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/hvc.sunyconnect.suny.edu:4740\/F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online catalog<\/a> will be replaced in early July with a new search interface. In addition, the current <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.hvcc.edu\/onesearch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OneSearch<\/a> search interface will be replaced. Faculty with library catalog or OneSearch search assignments for late summer or fall classes will need to update student instructions.
