The cemetery is located on Oakwood Avenue (Route 40). The ornate Victorian chapel is a National Historic Landmark is a popular site for weddings and special events as well as funerals.<\/p>\n<p>No registration is required; pay with cash upon arrival &#8212; $10 per person, children under 12 are free. Rain or shine. No dogs please! Groups of eight or more should call Heidi at (518) 221-7941.<\/p>\n<p>The traditional chapel tours on Tuesdays in August will not be held this year. Please check Facebook (Oakwood Cemetery Troy NY) for any schedule changes.<\/p>\n<p>The Friends of Oakwood is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer group working to support the preservation and maintenance of the non-sectarian chapel and grounds of Troy\u2019s still-active historic 19th C. Oakwood Cemetery.
