IMPORTANT MESSAGE – PLEASE READ There has been an increase in the number of scam emails requesting students and employees to provide their HVCC username and password, along with other personal information.\u00a0Please be cautious\u00a0of any email that offers you employment links or directs you to a website that asks for your HVCC username and password outside of the hvcc.edu domain.<\/strong>\u00a0These emails are malicious\/fraudulent in nature and are a security threat.<\/p>\n The latest email scam that was reported to ITS had the subject line \u201cHVCC: Urgent Part-Time(Flexible & Rewarding) Job;\u201d <\/strong>content included \u201cYou can make up to $1000 weekly,\u201d and the signature line was \u201cJob Placement & Student Services.\u201d<\/p>\n If you have received the email listed above or suspect you have received an email that is potentially a scam<\/strong>, we strongly recommend that you\u00a0change your password<\/a>\u00a0immediately.<\/p>\n If you have provided your HVCC username and password as a result of a request from an email, please change your password immediately,<\/strong> and forward the email\u00a0to\u00a0infosec@hvcc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n NOTE:<\/strong>\u00a0HVCC will never direct you to a website that asks for your HVCC username and password outside of the hvcc.edu domain.
