For faculty who use the\u00a0Blackboard\u00a0<\/em>assignment tool,<\/strong><\/span> our most recent versions of\u00a0Blackboard<\/em> offer a welcome improvement on that tool. Now, when students successfully submit an assignment, they see a pink banner that assigns a Submission Confirmation Number<\/strong> to the assignment that they submitted:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Although the banner can\u2019t be saved,<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0it prompts students to copy and save their\u00a0Submission\u00a0Confirmation Number\u00a0<\/strong>as proof that they successfully submitted their assignment. In addition, students get a detailed email receipt that also contains their Submission Confirmation Number<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

For their part,<\/strong><\/span> faculty can also confirm that assignments have been successfully submitted. To do so, they select\u00a0Submission Receipts<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0Reports\u00a0<\/strong>menu in their course Grade Center:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In the Submission Receipts\u00a0window that opens,<\/strong><\/span> faculty have two options. If they want to view the receipts\u00a0for all of the assignments that an individual student submitted, they select\u00a0User Information<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0Options\u00a0<\/strong>menu on the right. Next, after selecting whether they want to search using the student\u2019s User Name, First Name, Last Name, or Email address, they enter the student\u2019s information and select Go<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Alternatively,<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0if students email faculty a copy of their\u00a0Submission Confirmation Number<\/strong>, faculty can select\u00a0Confirmation Number<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0Options\u00a0<\/strong>menu, copy-paste the\u00a0Submission Confirmation Number<\/strong>\u00a0into the provided text-box, and then select\u00a0Go<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
