Over 900 campers participated in variety of programs on the main campus, at TEC-SMART and at Bethlehem Middle School. Programs included athletics, theater, circus, technology, summer academy and our new health science camp.\u00a0 Over 95 sections were available to campers.<a href=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/tech.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-98103 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/tech-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the first time ever, students entering grades 9 and 10 had an opportunity to participate in a hands-on health science camp. Sessions included community health navigator, dental hygiene, nursing, paramedic, polysomnography, respiratory care, and surgical technology.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/dental.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-98104 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/dental-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>We hope to continue the health science camp in summer 2020 and encourage other departments to contact us if you interested in a summer offering in your area. It&#8217;s a great opportunity to get high school students on campus to discover our degree programs.<\/p>\n<p>We awarded over $9,000 in scholarships to local children. Thanks to both the Foundation and the Grants Office for their continued support.<\/p>\n<p>The success of these programs could not be achieved without the support of many offices and departments on campus.
