<\/p>\n
Electrical Wiring: Principles and Practices is a 32-hour training course that provides the student with entry-level electrical skills. This course provides instruction in performing basic electrical tasks, including recognizing distinguishing characteristics of electrical systems and applying design principles and calculations for electrical distribution systems.<\/p>\n
This course will be a mixture of lecture and electrical lab. Electrical safety for residential wiring will be discussed before any hands-on projects will be assigned. Multi-meters will be discussed and demonstrated on live electrical circuits. This course will be a mixture of lecture and electrical lab.<\/p>\n
Students are required to bring to class:<\/p>\n
\u2022 straight and Phillips head screwdrivers
\n\u2022 wire testers
\n\u2022 pliers
\n\u2022 needle nose pliers
\n\u2022 wire strippers for solid wire
\n\u2022 utility knife
\n\u2022 safety glasses<\/p>\n
Prerequisites:
\nA minimum 10th grade level reading and math skills.<\/p>\n
