Work by Richard Garrison, an adjunct instructor in the Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media Department, is featured in “Patterns of Engagement,” a exhibition on view through March 2, 2020 at the Albany International Airport Gallery.<\/p>\n

As the airport undergoes a significant expansion and renewal project, eight artists make investigations and observations within the terminal\u2019s built environment and community that generate new works uniquely responsive to this place and time. This exhibition is intended to expand and change as the artists\u2019 engagements develop and take material form. In addition to Garrison, the exhibiting artists are Tasha Depp, Adam Frelin, Jack Magai, Laini Nemett, Chris St. Cyr, Chris Victor and Deborah Zlotsky.<\/p>\n

“Patterns,” curated by Gallery Director Kathy Greenwood, is not totally confined to the third-floor gallery space, and can be found throughout the airport as well.<\/p>\n

The Albany International Airport Gallery is located before the security checkpoint on the third floor shared with the Observation Area, and is accessible to travelers and non-travelers alike. Gallery hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. A public reception will be held at the gallery on Friday, Jan. 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
