Gas adds more methane which actually adds more heat to the atmosphere than CO\u2082. If you need to change out your heating and cooling system or hot water tank, consider a heat pump. Power it with solar energy either on your home or with community solar and it is a win, win!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Capital Region is running a New York State Energy Research and Development Authority program called Heat Smart Capital Region to help you change to a fossil-free fuel alternative.
