{"id":13531,"date":"2019-12-11T13:13:55","date_gmt":"2019-12-11T18:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/its-reorganization\/"},"modified":"2019-12-11T13:13:55","modified_gmt":"2019-12-11T18:13:55","slug":"its-reorganization","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/its-reorganization\/","title":{"rendered":"ITS Reorganization"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the recent resignations of Deputy Chief Information Officer Sarah Garrand and Lead Computer Programmer\/Analyst Jeremy Bristol in the Information Technical Services department, we have developed a plan that will provide leadership for the implementation and maintenance of a range of campus-wide information technology systems and tools that power business processes.<\/p>\n<p>We are reconfiguring the deputy chief information officer position into director of enterprise operations. Chrissy Smith, who has served as the college\u2019s retention coordinator since 2017, is appointed interim director while a search is being conducted. We believe Chrissy\u2019s organizational knowledge and familiarity with Banner products and systems will enable the unit to provide outstanding support services to all functional areas.<\/p>\n<p>Chrissy will be responsible for project management for all aspects of the enterprise information system (Banner and related third-party products that integrate with it) and will collaborate with the campus community to improve efficiencies and access to data. In addition, she will serve as co-chair of the Banner Steering Committee and supervise the related computer programmer analysts and functional support staff.
