To that end, ITS will now offer the following new services:<\/p>\n<p><b>Launch of New Guest Network<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The network labeled\u00a0<b>HVCC-Guest<\/b>\u00a0will be retired\u00a0today\u00a0in favor of a self-service oriented\u00a0<b>Guest<\/b>\u00a0network. The former required forms, approvals and was too rigid for granting immediate access to the Internet. A true\u00a0guest\u00a0network should not require this level of complexity.<\/p>\n<p>With the new system, users connect to the\u00a0<b>Guest<\/b>\u00a0network, attempt to browse a web site and are immediately instructed on how to obtain a verification code that will get them connected to the Internet. The whole process takes moments with no need for complex technical configurations.<\/p>\n<p>This new service will address a growing need to provide quick access to Internet resources for our vendors, trainers and visitors.<\/p>\n<p><b>Launch of New Technical Support Help Desk<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Beginning Thursday July 24, 2014, ITS will launch a new Technical Help Desk for Staff and Faculty.
