When communicating remotely, the follow methods can be used to authenticate a student\u2019s identity:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>telephone inquiries \u2013 student must provide FERPA password<\/li>\n<li>Zoom\u00a0 &#8211; student must present ID on his\/her webcam<\/li>\n<li>E-mail \u2013 student must communicate from his\/her Hudson Valley e-mail account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What information should I use to find a student record in Banner?<\/h3>\n<p>College personnel should not ask a caller for an ID number to access a student\u2019s record in Banner. Instead, ask for the student\u2019s name and date of birth and search for the record in Banner.
