PBS Frontline recently aired &#8220;Plastic Wars&#8221; which revealed some of the basis for this confusion and it isn&#8217;t pretty.<\/p>\n<p>It seems with oil prices going down, oil companies see more future profits in producing chemicals (such as plastic).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>So why recycle when they want to produce more?<\/li>\n<li>What does that mean to our environment?<\/li>\n<li>Is this a sustainable model?<\/li>\n<li>What can we do?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Out of the the &#8220;chasing arrows,&#8221; <strong>Reduce, Reuse, Recycle<\/strong>, we can have more of an influence on maintaining a healthy environment by <em><strong>reducing and reusing<\/strong><\/em>.
