The Counseling and Wellness Services counselors are available Monday \u2013 Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (via phone or Zoom sessions) for the counseling, consultation, and referral needs of currently-registered students.<\/p>\n
Counseling and Wellness Services continues to partner with community agencies to provide students with additional specialized support, virtually. One of our partnerships is with the Sexual Assault and Crime Victims\u2019 Assistance Program (SACVAP). Ryan Melone, a mental health counselor at SACVAP, is offering specific office hours for Hudson Valley Community College students. Below is more information about Ryan, the Sexual Assault and Crime Victims Assistance Program and how students can access these resources and make an appointment a counselor at SACVAP.<\/p>\n

Ryan Melone is a counselor for the Sexual Assault and Crime Victims’ Assistance Program (SACVAP), which offers confidential services to survivors of crime at no cost. Services include individual counseling and therapy, support groups, legal advocacy and accompaniments, medical advocacy and accompaniments, accompaniments to the emergency room and Sexual Assault Nurse Exams (SANE), a 24-hour crisis hotline, and many others.\u00a0 Ryan and other SACVAP counselors can help you talk through and heal from your experiences, all while helping you explore options for maintaining safety and pursuing justice. Any students who are interested in services may reach out to Ryan directly at (518) 443-9542, or call the SACVAP Intake Coordinator at (518) 271-3410.
