{"id":15020,"date":"2020-10-26T12:10:38","date_gmt":"2020-10-26T16:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/covid-19-weekly-update-oct-19-25-2\/"},"modified":"2020-10-26T12:10:38","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T16:10:38","slug":"covid-19-weekly-update-oct-19-25-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/covid-19-weekly-update-oct-19-25-2\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 Weekly Update: Oct. 19-25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the health of our community, the college\u2019s Health Services office is continuing to provide a weekly update for students, faculty and staff to share COVID-19 testing results and reports of positive cases (on or off campus), as well as important reminders and resources to be aware of during the ongoing pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LATEST NEWS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Louis Coplin and Regina LaGatta, Co-chairs of the COVID-19 Sub-Committee of the Emergency Preparedness Committee, will give a brief presentation on the college\u2019s efforts to combat COVID-19 and address any questions during the Academic Senate meeting today, Monday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. Those interested in participating can find the details on the <a href=\"https:\/\/events.hvcc.edu\/event\/academic-senate-monthly-meeting-11\/\">college&#8217;s event calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The college is also participating in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suny.edu\/maskup\/\">SUNY-wide \u201cMask Up\u201d campaign<\/a> to promote the importance of wearing masks to protect the health of our communities. During the past week, at Hudson Valley Community College:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>197<\/strong> students, faculty and staff on campus participated in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/covid19\/pooled-surveillance-testing.html\">pooled surveillance testing.<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>None<\/strong> of those individuals tested positive to date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>No<\/strong> individuals reported testing positive through testing administered off campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>USEFUL RESOURCES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Detailed information on Hudson Valley&#8217;s COVID-19 safety measures and protocols are available on the college&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/covid19\/index.html\">COVID-19 webpage<\/a>.
