We gathered several great ideas from you all!<\/p>\n<p>After reviewing the survey results, we\u2019ve determined that our theme for this year\u2019s event will be \u201cThe Future of Pedagogy: Engaging Students from Near, Far, Wherever You Are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, we plan to conduct the workshops in a webinar format. We\u2019ve already received some great proposals for workshops, including<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mediation Skills<\/li>\n<li>Promoting Success of ESL Students in the College Classroom<\/li>\n<li>How to Openly Share your Faculty-Created Materials Using Creative Commons<\/li>\n<li>Clean Heating and Cooling and Other Renewables<\/li>\n<li>Meditation and Mindfulness for Stress Reduction during these COVID Times<\/li>\n<li>Using the Blackboard Gradebook &#8212; Basic and Advanced Techniques<\/li>\n<li>Basic Parliamentary Procedure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the proposals above, the most popular workshop ideas from the survey include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Helping Insecure Students<\/li>\n<li>Video Lectures Made Easy<\/li>\n<li>Effective Online and Remote Teaching<\/li>\n<li>Zoom Strategies<\/li>\n<li>CLC or DL Help Question and Answer Session<\/li>\n<li>Retention Services Information Session<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Blackboard Tools<\/li>\n<li>Poverty and Its Impact on our Students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re willing to adopt one of these ideas as your own or if you\u2019ve got another idea you\u2019d like to propose, please <strong>submit your proposal via the following form<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/kFxdkACr1syc8bgNA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Workshop Proposal Form<\/a><br \/>\nPlease submit your completed form by <strong>Friday, Nov. 13<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to reviewing your proposals!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Published:<\/strong>\u00a0Tue, 03 Nov 2020 13:08:57 +0000 by\u00a0j.peabody<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Greetings!
