{"id":15360,"date":"2021-01-06T13:15:49","date_gmt":"2021-01-06T18:15:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/covid-19-testing-during-the-winter-term\/"},"modified":"2021-01-06T13:15:49","modified_gmt":"2021-01-06T18:15:49","slug":"covid-19-testing-during-the-winter-term","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/covid-19-testing-during-the-winter-term\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID 19 testing during the Winter Term"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dear Hudson Valley Community Member,<\/p>\n<p>If you are present on campus, consider participating in Pooled Surveillance Testing held in the Siek Campus Center (first floor) as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mondays, Jan. 11 &amp; 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, Jan. 6, 13 &amp; 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Everyone who comes to campus regularly is strongly encouraged to participate in the college\u2019s weekly pooled surveillance testing, which has been implemented to help keep our campus safe and stop the spread of COVID-19. The testing method is non-invasive and consists of a simple saliva sample you can take with a mouth swab.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do I do next?<br \/>\n<\/strong>To schedule an appointment at the next available test day, go to <a href=\"http:\/\/covidtest.hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/covidtest.hvcc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to your test, you must create a COVID-19 surveillance testing account that will help track your individual sample. Information gathered for your account is for SUNY use only \u2014 no information will be provided to an external party.<\/p>\n<p>You can begin the account registration process at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/register.suny-covid.com\/.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/register.suny-covid.com\/.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Please Note<\/em>: Some students might not have access to answers for all of the requested questions. We ask that you complete as much of the surveillance testing account registration as possible prior to your scheduled test. If needed, a college representative at the testing site will help you fill out the remainder of the questions in the form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day of Testing<\/strong><br \/>\nOn the day and time of your testing, you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have at least started the registration process and be able to access your account online using your personal mobile device (i.e. smartphone, tablet).<\/li>\n<li>Bring your Hudson Valley ID card or driver\u2019s license and your personal mobile device with you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>More Information<\/strong><br \/>\nOnce you schedule an appointment using the system noted above, you\u2019ll receive a confirmation email that includes further directions on what you need to do prior to testing.
