People\u2019s impressions are naturally based on visuals, so how you choose to dress makes for a positive or negative memory of you, which in turn creates that connotation with your company.<\/p>\n<p>The importance of dress code for professionalism cannot be overstated. Personal expression should be balanced with mindfulness of the company\u2019s rules. To be a true professional is to respect your workplace\u2019s rules for attire as much as they respect your skills in your field.<\/p>\n<p>Below are some great tips to help you succeed with being a true professional.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfort: Wearing ill-fitting clothes \u2013 whether too tight or too loose or unsuitable for your body type \u2013 should always be avoided. If you are uncomfortable, it will make your work day truly awful. Find something that fits the outer and inner you.<\/li>\n<li>Less is more: Keep your look simple, but classy until you become accustomed to the environment and learn about the company\u2019s dress code.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the dress code: Dressing for success doesn\u2019t necessarily mean wearing the fanciest thing in your closet. A lot of times, dressing for success just means adhering to your workplace\u2019s dress code.
