Although not required, each nominating delegate should also have a corresponding alternate who would carry out these duties if the delegate were unable to serve.<\/p>\n<p>The responsibility of the delegate includes serving as a liaison between NYSTRS and members of the college, as well as attending the two-day annual meeting in the fall that includes electing NYSTRS\u2019 board members.
