{"id":15813,"date":"2021-03-29T11:30:10","date_gmt":"2021-03-29T15:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/students-interested-in-attending-siena-college-should-read-this\/"},"modified":"2021-03-29T11:30:10","modified_gmt":"2021-03-29T15:30:10","slug":"students-interested-in-attending-siena-college-should-read-this","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/students-interested-in-attending-siena-college-should-read-this\/","title":{"rendered":"Students interested in attending Siena College should read this!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>HVCC students who are considering Siena College for their four-year degree are invited to a virtual visit with Siena&#8217;s transfer representative on <strong>Wednesday, March 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/explore.siena.edu\/portal\/transferhvcc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a><\/strong> to register and choose your time slot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go.siena.edu\/transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Please note that with Siena&#8217;s new Transfer Guarantee, every transfer student will get a minimum of $28,000 in scholarships over a two-year period<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Virtual advisor appointments are 20 minutes, and students can expect to receive advisement about admission criteria, general education requirements, course recommendations, and transfer of credit. <em>We recommend students have an unofficial copy of their HVCC transcript for their appointment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Not sure what to ask during your meeting?<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/studentservices\/career-transfer\/transfer\/questionstoask.html\">Click here for commonly asked questions!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is never too early to start planning for transfer. In fact, we recommend students meet with a transfer counselor during their first semester of study if they are planning on transferring to a four-year college or university. While some students begin their education at HVCC with a clearly defined transfer plan, others may be less certain. No matter where you fall in this continuum, the Center for Careers and Transfer can assist you in achieving your long-range educational goals.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer planning involves a series of steps, and a transfer counselor can help you successfully navigate through this process.
