Sidewalk Warriors, Troy<\/strong><\/a> announces a collection effort to gather kitchen items to be handed up to friends on \u201cKitchen Day\u201d on Thursday, June 10 at 6 p.m. at the Roarke Center parking lot, 107 Fourth Street in Troy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are looking for new or very gently-used small kitchen appliances, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, mops, brooms, and so on,\u201d said Robin Ford, Troy Coordinator. \u201cPlease take a look around your kitchen; you probably have duplicates of such items. Your extras will be very gratefully received by people who don\u2019t own the basics. Please remember, though, that we hand up items that are new or like-new because we deeply respect the dignity of our friends who are in need.\u201d<\/p>\n

Please text Robin Ford at (518) 265-7026, or email at sidewalkwarriorstroy@gmail.com<\/a> to arrange to meet with her to transfer your items. Since Sidewalk Warriors is an all-volunteer pop-up distribution effort, there is no official location to drop off donations.<\/p>\n

Sidewalk Warriors, Troy distribution effort will continue every Thursday at the Roarke Center parking lot (aka St. Anthony\u2019s parking lot). Set up begins at 5 p.m. and service begins at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

In addition to collecting and distributing kitchen items, the volunteers offer meals, beverages, pantry and personal care items free of charge — no judgment, no questions asked.<\/p>\n
