The first episode that aired on July 27 may be viewed at the link below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs6albany.com\/community\/teem\/program-at-hvcc-aims-to-teach-stem-skills-to-younger-students\">Program at HVCC aims to teach STEM skills to younger students | WRGB (cbs6albany.com)<\/a><br \/>\n(Tune in to CBS 6 on Aug. 3 and Aug. 10 at 6 p.m. to see the remaining segments.)<\/p>\n<p>SOWI is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesunion.com\/news\/article\/Your-Best-Shot-HVCC-national-recognition-15683052.php\">award-winning<\/a> program that encourages students from underrepresented populations, including girls and those who identify as female, to engage in science, technology, engineering and math. SOWI workshops serve two age groups: <strong>SOWI STEM is Elementary<\/strong>, an earth science based summer camp geared toward students entering 4th and 5th grades, and <strong>SOWI Robotics<\/strong>, a year-round workshop series aimed at grades 6 through 12 that focuses on learning computer languages such as Python and Java, coding and robotics.
