{"id":16352,"date":"2021-08-30T12:10:23","date_gmt":"2021-08-30T16:10:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/sept-11-exhibit-on-display-in-marvin-library-learning-commons\/"},"modified":"2021-08-30T12:10:23","modified_gmt":"2021-08-30T16:10:23","slug":"sept-11-exhibit-on-display-in-marvin-library-learning-commons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/sept-11-exhibit-on-display-in-marvin-library-learning-commons\/","title":{"rendered":"Sept. 11 exhibit on display in Marvin Library Learning Commons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>September 11, 2001:\u00a0 The Day That Changed the World<\/strong><\/em>, a 14-panel travelling exhibit, is on display in the Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Atrium from Aug. 30 &#8211; Sept. 30 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/library\/about\/hours.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">during regular hours<\/a> of operation and in alignment with College&#8217;s COVID protocols.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit was curated by the 9\/11 Memorial &amp; Museum for the 20th anniversary of the attack in the United States. The display uses archival imagery, artifact photography, and individual stories that accompany explanatory text to give visitors a deeper understanding of a key moment in modern American history.<\/p>\n<p>The poster exhibition was developed by the 9\/11 Memorial &amp; Museum and has been made possible in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy Demands Wisdom.<\/p>\n<p>A comment book is included in the exhibit for visitors to place a thought, remembrance of the events or reflection on September 11, 2011, and its impact then and now. An online subject guide highlighting the library\u2019s available print and e-books and web resources is available at https:\/\/libguides.hvcc.edu\/sept11.
