Staff at the Counseling Services Center at Maria College have invited faculty, staff, students and the community to attend their virtual event: &#8220;Why Mental Health Matters.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-127662 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/mental-health-matters-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Maria College is hosting &#8220;Why Mental Health Matters&#8221; via Zoom on Monday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with guest speaker Dr. Colleen Coffey from Active Minds. (Active Minds is a nationally-recognized, non-profit organization which supports mental health awareness and education for young adults.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Whether it\u2019s due to the pandemic, or perhaps due to the demands of juggling work, school, family and more, you may notice your mental health taking a toll, or even overlooked altogether. This interactive virtual event will explore the importance of mental health and emotional wellness during college and beyond.
