The opening hours are 2 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by Project Art Distribution (P.A.D.) and F Magazine, the project is a memorial for Barbara Ess and included in P.A.D.&#8217;s exhibition \u201cIn with the Old\u201d in the contemporary wing of the Walter Elwood Museum. An American photographer known for her large-scale pinhole camera works and post-punk music, Ess died in March 2021 at the age of 76. The college&#8217;s Teaching Gallery presented a survey exhibition of Ess&#8217;s photographic work in 2011 and one of her works is included in &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/about\/news\/archives\/2021\/10\/teaching-gallery-reopens-with-what-we-looked-at-exhibit-works-loaned-by-faculty.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">What We Looked At<\/a>,&#8221; the current Teaching Gallery exhibit on view through Dec. 3.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A Portrait of Barbara Ess&#8221; will remain on view through Feb. 27, 2022. The Walter Elwood Museum, located in the Rao Center at 100 Church St. in Amsterdam, is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays; admission is free but donations are appreciated.
