First- and second-dose vaccines also will be administered. No appointment is required for Rensselaer County residents.<\/p>\n<p>Those seeking a booster vaccine will be offered &#8220;only the vaccine that you originally received,&#8221; according to information on the RCHD&#8217;s Facebook page. Please bring ID and your vaccination card. All three vaccine doses, including Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson &amp; Johnson, will be available based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n<p>If you are 18 years and older and received the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna initial vaccine series at least six months ago or the Janssen\/Johnson &amp; Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago, you are eligible for your COVID-19 booster dose. Boosters can help provide additional protection, especially for those over the age of 50 and others with underlying conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Vaccines for children ages 5 to 11 received by the county have been provided to pediatricians in the county.
