Here is an opportunity to nominate that individual for the distinguished honor of the\u00a0SUNY\u00a0Chancellor\u00a0Award\u00a0for Excellence in\u00a0Classified\u00a0Service.<\/p>\n<p>SUNY\u00a0allots\u00a0awards to each campus based on enrollment. For the Excellence in\u00a0Classified\u00a0Service, just one\u00a0award\u00a0is offered to Hudson Valley Community College.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All nominees must have completed at least three (3) years of continuous, full time permanent\u00a0service\u00a0in the\u00a0Classified\u00a0Service\u00a0position for which they are nominated. Prior recipients of a\u00a0Chancellor\u2019s\u00a0Award\u00a0for Excellence in the\u00a0Classified\u00a0Service\u00a0are ineligible for consideration. Posthumous nominations are also ineligible<\/p>\n<p><strong>CRITERIA FOR SELECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The nominee must be an individual who has continuously demonstrated outstanding achievement, skill and commitment to excellence in fulfilling the job description for the position held.<br \/>\nThe nominee must also demonstrate excellence in activities beyond the scope of the job description. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and flexibility in performing his or her position to meet campus needs. Special consideration will be given to employees who consistently provide exemplary customer\u00a0service\u00a0to students, staff, patients, and other members of the campus community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPCOMING STEPS<\/strong><br \/>\nAs part of submitting a portfolio, the nominee will be required to provide the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nomination form (Please email committee chair Tony Podlaski at <a href=\"mailto:a.podlaski@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a.podlaski@hvcc.edu<\/a> for a copy of the form.)<\/li>\n<li>Supervisor\u2019s letter<\/li>\n<li>The nominee\u2019s resume<\/li>\n<li>Letters of support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT NOTE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following is language from\u00a0SUNY:\u00a0<em>The sensitivities inherent in such recognition programs and the nature of the supporting documentation involved make it imperative that all deliberations of the campus committee remain strictly confidential.
