The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness Committee met on January 25, 2022. The meeting minutes follow.<\/p>\n
Dr. Margret Geehan opened the meeting at 1:00PM. The meeting was held via Zoom.<\/p>\n
Middle States Update Dr. Geehan reminded the group that this summer we will be getting close to the date of Middle States\u2019 visit (March 2023) and will therefore be spending more time preparing for their visit. The summer will be spent synthesizing the individual reports from the Working Groups into a whole document, finalizing the Evidence Library, etc. Fall 2022 will be spent working with the entire campus community to finalize the draft of the Self Study to send to Middle States in early January 2023.<\/p>\n Campus Climate Survey Review The group discussed whether the survey questions were as direct as possible. They also questioned whether they were asking the right questions and whether there was anything they had left completely unsaid. Dr. Geehan pointed out that the items had been taken verbatim from college materials as indicated in the survey, and\/or Middle States Standards.<\/p>\n On table 6, question 8 asked how people felt the college did at developing and maintaining a positive campus culture. \n<\/strong>It was reported that on the whole each group seems to be doing well and is collecting evidence for their Standard.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The group reviewed the mean results on the survey (Tables 1 \u2013 6); each question was individually reviewed and discussed as to how each functioned and about the mean earned by each item.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Postponed when it was time to adjourn the meeting.<\/p>\n
