The meeting minutes follow.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Margaret Geehan opened the meeting at 1 pm. The meeting was held via Zoom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Middle States Update<br \/>\n<\/strong>Each group seems to be doing well and are collecting evidence for their Standard.<\/p>\n<p>Next semester will be spent mostly on writing each Working Group\/Standard narratives.<\/p>\n<p>The group discussed whether or not the Excelsior Scholarship is actually hurting enrollment by incentivizing students to attend four-year schools.<\/p>\n<p>APs and Ups (Assessment Cycle Open)<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Business<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Institutional Effectiveness Recommendation 2020 update for 2021:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A handout with IE Recommendations on it was reviewed.<\/li>\n<li>A list of recommendations like this is created by the AIE Committee at the close of every IE Cycle.<\/li>\n<li>This list is formulated by an assessment of the Core Indicators, college-wide surveys such as the ESS, and the results presented in the Strategic Plan reports.<\/li>\n<li>The recommendations included:\n<ul>\n<li>a.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Diversity of Faculty and Staff on CampuS<\/li>\n<li>b.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Student Enrollment, Persistence, Retention and Graduation<\/li>\n<li>c.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assessment, Planning and Budget<\/li>\n<li>d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Shared Governance and Communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The group will address the formulation of the 2021 IE Recommendations after the holidays.<\/p>\n<p>The following Core Indicators were reviewed by the group in some detail earlier in the semester, allowing changes to be made where necessary.<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 2.2 Time to Degree<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 2.3 Retention<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 2.4 Student Satisfaction<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 3.3 Graduation Rate by Ethnicity\/Race<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 5.5 Student Loan Default<\/p>\n<p>Core Indicators ready for review:<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 6.1 Grant Funding<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 6.2 College Foundation<br \/>\n&#8211;Cl 6.6 Community Engagement<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was adjourned at 1:56 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The next meeting, scheduled for Dec. 21, 2021, was not held until Jan. 25 2022.<br \/>\n(Minutes will be published in a separate article.)<\/p>\n<p>Respectfully submitted,<br \/>\nCaitlyn Gerardi<\/p>\n<p><strong>AIE Members<\/strong><br \/>\nClem Campana<br \/>\nColleen Ferris<br \/>\nPatti Gaston<br \/>\nMargaret Geehan<br \/>\nCaitlyn Gerardi<br \/>\nAntoinette Howard<br \/>\nMatt Howe<br \/>\nAlan Joseph<br \/>\nDennis Kennedy<br \/>\nPatty Klimkewicz<br \/>\nJim Macklin<br \/>\nMargaret Mann<br \/>\nKaren Paquette<br \/>\nKathy Petley<br \/>\nJoseph Stenard<br \/>\nAinsley Thomas<br \/>\nBrian Vlieg<br \/>\nDennis Wax<br \/>\nRonalyn Wilson<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Published:<\/strong>\u00a0Tue, 22 Feb 2022 12:45:48 +0000 by\u00a0c.gerardi<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness Committee met on Nov. 30, 2021.
