More than 1,300 chapters were represented at the conference, making it an amazing opportunity for chapter members, officers, advisors, administrators and alumni to celebrate all that is PTK.<\/p>\n<p>The honor society utilizes the four hallmarks of fellowship, scholarship, and service to promote excellence and growth. During the conference, attendees were inspired by the keynote speakers, \u00a0Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, president and CEO of PTK, and Daymond John, presidential ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship (and yes, from Shark Tank!). Dr. Lynn emphasized the importance of caring for students and supporting student-led advocacy efforts. Daymond stressed the significance of setting goals and envisioning oneself there. He even surprised the PTK students in attendance by offering them internships opportunities in his multi-million dollar business enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>The conference ended with a spectacular Hallmark Awards Gala. Special awards were presented to select chapters and members. The Alpha Xi Sigma Chapter was honored with two prestigious awards: The &#8220;Distinguished Chapter Member&#8221; Award for Dara Blanchette and The &#8220;Distinguished College Project&#8221; Award.
