{"id":1801,"date":"2010-10-08T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-10-08T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/important-update-on-blackboard-9-1-migration\/"},"modified":"2010-10-08T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-10-08T04:00:00","slug":"important-update-on-blackboard-9-1-migration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/important-update-on-blackboard-9-1-migration\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Update on Blackboard 9.1 Migration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Distance Learning and Computer Services have been collaborating to develop an appropriate migration path to Blackboard 9.1.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, Blackboard has recommended that a tool we use for migration and maintenance not be used at all due to corruption issues.<\/p>\n<p>Since this is not an option to move forward, we are hereby staying on Blackboard 8 for the Spring 2011 semester. This problem has been confirmed with other schools.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward, Distance Learning staff and Computer Services staff are working with Blackboard and various other educational institutions to determine the best course of action.<\/p>\n<p>Distance Learning and Computer Services will release a joint statement on plans for moving forward on Nov. 1.
