We know that everyone at HVCC is excited to get started, just as we have been.<\/p>\n<h1>Timeline and Tentative Schedule<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-139881\" src=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/D2LTimeline-e1663165482259.png\" alt=\"SUNY DLE Cohort 3 Timeline\" width=\"750\" height=\"236\" data-wp-editing=\"1\" \/><\/h1>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Early Fall 2022 \u2013 Prepare Blackboard Courses for Migration<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Distance and Online Learning will participate in SUNY system-level training and create custom HVCC training materials.<\/li>\n<li>HVCC DLE website with updates, tutorials, and training resources will be created.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty will prepare their Blackboard courses for migration.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty have access to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dle.suny.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SUNY DLE website<\/a><\/strong> and training recordings if you want to preview the D2L. Brightspace environment before HVCC training begins.<\/li>\n<li>Distance and Online Learning will provide migration course prep training.\n<ul>\n<li>Zoom and face-to-face group sessions<\/li>\n<li>Scheduled open lab sessions for migration course preparation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Late Fall 2022<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Faculty training begins on Brightspace when the HVCC tenant is ready.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Spring 2023 \u2013 Configuring Migrated Courses and New Courses in D2L Brightspace<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Distance and online learning will provide course configuration training for migrated courses in D2L Brightspace.\n<ul>\n<li>Zoom and face-to-face group sessions<\/li>\n<li>Scheduled open lab sessions for migration course preparation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Training on targeted and advanced strategies for replicating current pedagogical practices and workflows in the new environment &#8212; learning the new opportunities in the D2L Brightspace LMS &#8212; once we get our own instance.<\/li>\n<li>SUNY has created D2L Brightspace course templates that campuses need to customize, and HVCC has been reviewing these.
