{"id":18725,"date":"2022-09-30T12:15:48","date_gmt":"2022-09-30T16:15:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/mandatory-compliance-training-oct-5\/"},"modified":"2022-09-30T12:15:48","modified_gmt":"2022-09-30T16:15:48","slug":"mandatory-compliance-training-oct-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/mandatory-compliance-training-oct-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory Compliance Training &#8212; Oct. 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s that time of year again.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Oct. 5, Human Resources and Information Technology Services will be releasing our annual compliance training. <strong>Please remember that these courses are mandatory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The due date to complete the training is\u00a0Jan. 3, 2022. If not completed by this deadline, computer access will be suspended.<\/p>\n<p>Our training platforms are BizLibrary and KnowBe4. Emails from these companies are legitimate. Employees will receive an email sometime on Oct. 5. BizLibrary and KnowBe4 are single sign-on. Your username and password are the same as when you log into your computer\/network.<\/p>\n<p>Please use your\u00a0Firefox\u00a0browser when accessing BizLibrary. Google Chrome does not work with the single sign-on authentication.\u00a0There should be no browser compatibility issues when using KnowBe4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Human Resource&#8217;s training courses<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hudson Valley Community College Employee Handbook<\/li>\n<li>SUNY Sexual Harassment Prevention<\/li>\n<li>Preventing and Handling Workplace Violence<\/li>\n<li>Active Shooter and Workplace Violence<\/li>\n<li>Right-to-Know: Federal and New York Standards<\/li>\n<li>Title IX: Equal Education for All<\/li>\n<li>FERPA Explained<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each course contains a quiz that must be &#8220;passed&#8221; to complete the training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information Technology Services (ITS) training<\/strong> will be deployed via the KnowBe4 platform and consist of two short courses dealing with Information Security.<\/p>\n<p>All training must be completed for HVCC; we cannot accept completion from another employer.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the link to BizLibrary:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hvcc.bizlibrary.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/hvcc.bizlibrary.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For technical issues related to KnowBe4, please contact ITS at (518) 629-7364 or open a ticket on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/helpdesk.hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/helpdesk.hvcc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact Heather Henry at <a href=\"mailto:h.henry@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">h.henry@hvcc.edu<\/a> or Kate Teal at <a href=\"mailto:k.teal@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">k.teal@hvcc.edu<\/a> if you have any questions or concerns.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: Training requirements may be updated by New York State or Hudson Valley Community College at any time.
