athletics@hvcc.edu<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\nMen\u2019s and Women\u2019s Cross Country<\/strong>: The men’s and women’s cross country programs secured back-to-back conference championships after they both won the 2022 Mountain Valley Conference Championships on Saturday at Fulton-Montgomery Community College in Johnstown.<\/p>\nFootball<\/strong>: The football team dropped a tough home match, 28-19, against Sussex on Saturday afternoon. Joshua Jean-Baptiste finished the game with 195-kickoff return yards and led the Vikings with 66 rushing yards on eight carries, an 8.3 yards per rush average.<\/p>\nMen\u2019s Soccer<\/strong>: Men\u2019s soccer finished the week 1-0-1, which included a critical Region 3 win at Adirondack to help position the team for an opportunity for a top-5 seed in the postseason. They also earned a hard-fought 1-1 tie at Paul Smith’s on Sunday.<\/p>\nWomen\u2019s Soccer<\/strong>: Women\u2019s Soccer finished the week 1-0-1. The team defeated Adirondack 3-2, which helps players compete for a top-8 seed in the Region 3 postseason. They also fought to a 2-2 tie at Paul Smith’s on Sunday.<\/p>\nWomen\u2019s Tennis<\/strong>: Tennis is home this Tuesday as the teams end its regular season with a home match vs. Herkimer. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. at the HVCC tennis courts.<\/p>\nWomen\u2019s Volleyball<\/strong>: Women’s volleyball program closed out the Region 3 schedule with a critical 2-1 record at the Mohawk Valley pod on Saturday in Utica. The team defeated Herkimer (3-2) and Mohawk Valley (3-0). The lone defeat was against a top-ranked Fulton-Montgomery program (3-0).<\/p>\nHome Games this week<\/strong>:
