A local charity is asking for the help of the HVCC community. Hannah’s Hope for GAN is working tirelessly to fund a clinical trial to save children suffering from Giant Axonal Neuropathy (GAN). Over the past 2.5 years, the scientists working with Hannah’s Hope have developed a treatment and now Hannah’s Hope is raising funds to pay for the studies required by the FDA to begin a clinical trial. Kids with GAN become quadriplegics, dependent on feeding tubes and ventilators and die in their late teens or early 20s. Six-year-old Hannah Sames of Rexford is the inspiration of Hannah’s Hope.<\/p>\n
