Join &#8220;Be The Match&#8221; on Nov. 16 in the Campus Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/btmlogo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-142093\" src=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/btmlogo-450x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>Every year, 12,000 patients are diagnosed with blood cancers like leukemia or lymphoma or diseases like sickle cell. \u00a0A blood stem cell transplant from a donor may be their only chance at a cure.<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to help potentially save a life? You can. The college will host a <a href=\"https:\/\/bethematch.org\/\">Be The Match<\/a> event in the Siek Campus Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16.<\/p>\n<p>Be The Match connects people who have life-threatening diseases with a matching donor for blood stem cell transplants.
