{"id":19391,"date":"2023-01-10T13:05:54","date_gmt":"2023-01-10T18:05:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/employee-tuition-reimbursement-available-for-spring-2023\/"},"modified":"2023-01-10T13:05:54","modified_gmt":"2023-01-10T18:05:54","slug":"employee-tuition-reimbursement-available-for-spring-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/employee-tuition-reimbursement-available-for-spring-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Employee Tuition Reimbursement Available for Spring 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Colleagues:<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of President Ramsammy, I am pleased to announce that funding is still available for tuition reimbursement for Spring 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Available to ALL employees.<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursement is available for coursework taken for credit at any nationally or regionally accredited college.<\/li>\n<li>Coursework does not have to be job-related.<\/li>\n<li>You do not have to be matriculated into a program to be eligible.<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursement is for tuition only (no fees), based on 50% of the current SUNY in-state tuition rate for up to six credits per semester.<\/li>\n<li>Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. I will notify the campus community when the funds are depleted for the fiscal year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 (if funds are still available), the reimbursement rate per semester is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$100 per credit\/$600 maximum (6 credits) \u2014 Associate degrees and credit-bearing certificates taken at a college other than Hudson Valley Community College*<\/li>\n<li>$147.50.per credit\/$885 maximum (6 credits) \u2014 Bachelor\u2019s degrees<\/li>\n<li>$235.50 per credit\/$1,413 maximum (6 credits) \u2014\u00a0 Master\u2019s degrees and PhDs<\/li>\n<li>$312.50 per credit\/$1,875 maximum (6 credits) \u2014\u00a0 MBA program<\/li>\n<li>$272.50 per credit\/$1,635 maximum (6 credits) \u2014 MSW program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here\u2019s the procedure for reimbursement:<\/p>\n<p>1. Register and pay for the course(s).<\/p>\n<p>2. Send copies of the registration (a schedule is fine) and payment receipt to me, either by email at <a href=\"mailto:s.kalkbrenner@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s.kalkbrenner@hvcc.edu<\/a> or by inter-office mail (GUN 164). There are no forms to fill out.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 You will be contacted by Accounts Payable via email when your check is ready.<\/p>\n<p>*Please note\u00a0that this does\u00a0not\u00a0apply to courses taken at Hudson Valley. For information on how to take courses here, please contact Human Resources or consult your bargaining unit agreement.<\/p>\n<p>I am happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
