The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness Committee met on Nov. 29. The meeting minutes are as follows.<\/p>\n
Meg Mann opened the meeting at 1 p.m. The meeting was held mostly via Zoom.<\/p>\n
Middle States Update IE Report<\/strong> Dennis Wax presented an update on the Strategic Plan, which identifies six priorities and 174 strategies. Many of the items addressed in the SP are “works in progress” and goals\/objectives we consistently to work toward.<\/p>\n Matt Howe gave an update on CRMs. He said the CRM Advise Ellucian Experience would launch on Nov. 30, allowing students to submit CRM self-referrals themselves. He said the Ellucian Experience is impressive; students will have easier access to DegreeWorks to assess progress toward a degree. DegreeWorks also will help advisors create a two-year plan for students. It will be useful for both students and advisors when a change is major is made.<\/p>\n The committee focused on microcredentials and discussed how well they enhance a students’ employability. Matt said it depends on the microcredential. \n<\/strong>Margaret Geehan said there wasn\u2019t much new in the realm of Middle States. The Middle States Annual Conference is Dec. 7 to 9. The Middle States team is currently reviewing (and implementing where appropriate) Dr. McDonough\u2019s comments from his recent visit. In the New Year, the team plans to offer coaching sessions to prepare people for what kinds of things Middle States might ask during its visit in April.<\/p>\n
