{"id":19652,"date":"2023-02-23T13:00:59","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T18:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/last-call-to-register-for-faculty-workshop-day\/"},"modified":"2023-02-23T13:00:59","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T18:00:59","slug":"last-call-to-register-for-faculty-workshop-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/last-call-to-register-for-faculty-workshop-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Last Call to register for Faculty Workshop Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hello everyone,<\/p>\n<p>Faculty Workshop Day is scheduled for <strong>Wednesday, March 1.<\/strong> The theme for this year is \u201cNavigating New Frontiers: Positive Approaches to Educational Theory and Practice.\u201d Check out our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/dept\/cet\/faculty-workshop\/program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">workshop descriptions here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The deadline to register for workshops is<strong> 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27<\/strong>. <strong>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/dept\/cet\/faculty-workshop\/registrationform.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> to register.<\/strong> If you do not see a workshop listed, it means it is already filled.<\/p>\n<p>The keynote speaker will also be livestreamed; most workshops will be held in person, with select workshops via Zoom. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.<\/p>\n<p>Please bring a canned or dry good for the HVCC Food Pantry and to enter a raffle for a gift card.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>We look forward to seeing you all there!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/p>\n<p>Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jacqueline Richardson-Melecio is the president\/CEO of Equity Dynamics, LLC. She brings more than 25 years of experience as a diversity, equity, and inclusion (D.E.I.) expert, and delivers quality consultation and training services to communities and organizations. A doctoral-level researcher and a Licensed Masters Social Worker, she recently authored her first book, &#8220;Belonging: Shifting Your D.E.I.
