{"id":1990,"date":"2011-01-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-21T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/call-for-recommendations\/"},"modified":"2011-01-21T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2011-01-21T05:00:00","slug":"call-for-recommendations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/call-for-recommendations\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Recommendations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of President Matonak, the Chancellor&#8217;s Award for Student Excellence Selection Committee is seeking recommendations from the campus community of those students who have demonstrated excellence while attending Hudson Valley Community College. Recommended students will be considered for nomination by the selection committee. Our college may submit up to seven nominations.<\/p>\n<p>The Chancellor&#8217;s Award for Student Excellence recognizes students who have demonstrated the integration of academic excellence with other aspects of their lives including the following categories: leadership, community service, arts, athletics and career achievement. In the past, successful candidates have been exceptionally well rounded having accomplishments in most, if not all, of these categories.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be eligible, a student must graduate between June 2010 and May 2011. While there is no minimum GPA for this award, only students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance will be considered.
