Buono Award for Civic Engagement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Student Life Committee of the Academic Senate is seeking nominations for the John L. Buono Award for Civic Engagement. All nominations must be received by Friday, April 14.<\/p>\n<p>The award, named for the college\u2019s fifth president who retired in December 2003, is presented to a graduating senior (or recent graduate) of the college who has shown a commitment to community service through volunteer work.<\/p>\n<p>The award includes a plaque and monetary gift.<\/p>\n<p>To nominate a student, please provide the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>student\u2019s full name<\/li>\n<li>major<\/li>\n<li>description of their volunteer work with dates performed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please email the nomination to Donna McCart, chair of the Student Life Committee, at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:d.mccart@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">d.mccart@hvcc.edu<\/a>\u00a0by Friday, April 14.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Published:<\/strong>\u00a0Wed, 12 Apr 2023 12:00:27 +0000 by\u00a0d.mccart<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The Student Life Committee of the Academic Senate is seeking nominations for the John L.
